The Derbyshire Practice

Paul Ashburner, initially trained as a physical therapist and went on to study osteopathy and practiced as an osteopath for many years, initially establishing and running a busy full-time practice in Derby since the early 80's. Through his training he studied many aspects of natural health care and had notable mentors in naturopathy, physiotherapy, osteopathy & chiropractic. This experience has meant he has been able to evolve his own approach to suit the needs of a wide range of patients and conditions.

The move to the Derbyshire hills has enabled him to cater for the needs of local people from the towns and villages of the Peak District, Derbyshire Dales and Amber Valley Districts.Operating from a single location on the outskirts of Ripley and with easy access from the A38, this serves patients from Alfreton, Ripley, Belper, Crich, Wirksworth, Bonsall, Winster, Darley Dale, Matlock and Bakewell. Many of his previous patients are now travelling from Derby, and as far away as Ashbourne, Uttoxeter, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Newark and Lincoln to seek his help. It is heartening to see several generations of the same family in our waiting rooms at times.

Ripley Practice, Derbyshire

With its own private room on the ground floor, at Fizzio Fit, Derby Road, Butterley, Ripley, the practice offers convenient access for people who might struggle with stairs or for parents with pushchairs or carrycots. Being easy to find with easy access from the A38/A610 and good parking outside the door, makes a visit to the practice very convenient.
